Blue Sky in Devon

We went to Woolacombe in the van for the weekend -and apart from a rocky start when Mark locked the keys in the house and then got wedged in the dogflap trying to retrieve them...we had a nice time!
All my photos seem to be of sky -

Our First Vanniversary!

A year ago this week we traded one of our cars for a bright red VW T4 Transporter - one of the best decisions we ever made (we don't often make good decisions...)

So here are a few of my favourite Van moments from 2009, and here's hoping for lots more to come!

Our first trip - 'wild' camping in the Forest of Dean

Never forget the bacon (or the frying pan)

Nearly there... our epic journey to Mundaka

Breakfast, Bournemouth and Beach Huts

We camped at Hurst View campsite near Lymington, which is open all year (and was surprisingly busy for February!) and after breakfast we headed down to Boscombe to check out the new surf reef ( but there was no surf..)

So we walked along Bournemouth Pier (Molly wasn't keen, she doesn't like looking through the gaps in the floor!)...

Wandered along the beach...

And found lots of lovely beach huts...

I'm having number 233, but remember you can buy your own very specially personalised Beach Hut here!

Roll on the weekend (is it only Tuesday?)

Yay - we're going away in the van at the weekend - can't wait, hope it isn't raining like today though...

VanFest!

We went to Vanfest at the Three Counties Showground on Saturday which was good fun -

Camper Vans of all shapes, sizes, colours and ages. And a couple of Beetles too..

I loved this weird and wonderful musical instrument..

Windy Welsh weekend

After a first day at school... we decided to go to the Gower for the weekend.
It was very windy but we had some good beachcombing expeditions..

Bill found a funny long-armed crab, then lost it..

Weekend collage #1

Another weekend in North Devon..
We found a really cool new surf shop in Braunton, and then saw some of their boards in Wave Length magazine. Loose-Fit claims to be the UK's first 'carbon zero' surf shop. I love the design of their website and their boards look like pieces of art.
Ooh, and they've also got a cafe!
