It's school holidays here and I've hit on possibly my best ever 'keep the kids occupied whilst not spending any money' scheme.
One packet of chunky chalk from Spotlight plus one ginormous concrete water tank - bingo!
Although it didn't go quite to plan - my dreams of a beautifully decorated water tank were dashed when I remembered I have two boys who only draw tanks, aeroplanes and explosions... So I provided the pretty bits for myself :)
This is what happens when you leave Mark and his dad alone with a chainsaw...
To be fair they didn't get too carried away - one of the reasons we bought our house were the lovely trees in the backyard - a big Peppermint, two nice Banksias, a scruffy looking Tuart and some other miscellaneous Australian trees.. Now it's cleared it looks loads better but still nice and shady. Here's a test for any green-fingered Antipodeans out there - what is this tree? -
It had small pink flowers a couple of months ago and now has those funny little nut... things. Any ideas?
Stressful times in the Moody house... our house sale isn't quite going to plan - I won't bore you with the details but it involves a dishonest buyer and a complacent estate agent - we are trying not to PANIC!!! We'd hoped to be out before the boys started back at school, which obviously isn't going to happen now.. Oh - and did I mention the fact that our estate agent has gone on holiday today??! Thinking calm thoughts....
