August Break 4

Since Molly has a bad leg (I still think she's putting it on..) I dragged myself on a walk yesterday...

A walk in the hills

Mark and I are on a bit of a health kick at the moment, and he had the day off so we dragged took Molly dog on a long walk in the rain.

She hasn't moved since we got home...

Waiting for the Olympic Torch...

Olympic Torch day! We waited and waited....

And then it came and went so fast I didn't even get a decent photo...

Graveyard with a view

I'm not really the kind of person who lurks around in graveyards, but this one has amazing views and loads of snowdrops.

Muddy walk

We're selling our house at the moment so we had to go out this afternoon to make way for some house viewings... no offers yet but fingers crossed...

Fragments

Today we went to my secret Cotswold beach combing spot - if you look very carefully in this certain stream you can find loads of tiny fragments of pottery - every time we go there are more of them - I don't know where they came from, but I love finding them.

No PO

I've woken up to a bit of a problem. Our village post office has disappeared! And surprisingly it's nothing to do with the Post Office deciding to close it - the shop it was housed in has closed down, so now - no post office until they find it a new home..

Think we might have to catch the bus to the next village and use theirs instead!

Romancing the stone...

Bill and I went on a Fossil Hunt yesterday - here.
Amongst the loads of belemnites and oyster shells (and a couple of nice ammonites), I found this stone and when we got home I gave it to Mark. (This was quite an unusual romantic gesture on my part..)
Complete waste of time - he said ' Oh.... thanks....a pebble...'

A walk in the woods

Just been looking through last year's blogposts and realised there's not a single photo of me - that would be because I'm always behind the camera - so here's me and Mark on a walk in the woods today..

To the Tower

We went up Broadway Tower - which luckily passed as a very small castle... It was great actually - worth a visit if you're in the Cotswolds!

Books + Coffee = Perfection

Just had a morning wander around Chipping Norton and discovered my very favourite kind of shop - a combination bookshop / cafe - Jaffe and Neale.
Loads of tempting books and a lovely little cafe. Did a bit of guilt-free Christmas shopping and managed to resist buying any books....
