I'm feeling a bit empty-nest-ish. I know my children haven't left home.. they're only 4 and 6 - but they do trot off happily to school each morning now, leaving me feeling a bit lonely...
How sad! I miss having a small companion following me around, pointing out interesting cloud formations and dogs.
And always wanting feeding.
I'm only four days in to 'big school' so I'm sure I'll get used to it.
Anyone else missing their little treasures? Or, more sensibly, enjoying the peace!

ReplyDeleteIt is always a bit strange when the New Term begins, my boys are 8 and 10 and believe me once they start school the time flies by so quickly, it always takes me a few days to get back into my own company and pick up my work again they only went back on Tuesday so I guess by next week I may be back to normal, enjoy the peace!
ReplyDeleteMine are 4 and a 6 also. My 4 yo twins are doing half days for 2 weeks but I'm sure once they are there all day it will hit home! My house might be a bit tidier tho ;)
