Painting by Sylvia GrantinsIt's the Winter Solstice tomorrow - doesn't that sound magical? And there's going to be a lunar eclipse. At 7.40 in the morning - which seems a funny time for an eclipse... If you're up and about, have a glance over to the West where the moon will be going down - if will be visible for longer in the North and Scotland.
I remember a lunar eclipse when I was at uni, and it was surprisingly impressive - it makes you realise that the moon is a big ball floating above us and we are really very tiny little beings!
