So sometimes it's a good idea to go away for three weeks and leave your husband at home with a list of jobs.
Because sometimes he will surprise you by doing all of the 'suggested' jobs!
Here is a (very much) Before photo of The Ugly House.
This is the estate agent's photo that really sold the house to us - it's gorgeous isn't it?
Now, this is the house that we came home to last week... ready?
It's still not the prettiest house but I am so happy!
Now I can pull in the driveway without checking that no-one's looking.
Our over the road neighbours have been over several times to congratulate Mark on adding thousands to the value of their house...
Now I've got a lot of planting to do to fill up those flowerbeds.
Wow that is such a transformation ....well done tomyournhusband. Have fun picking out you new plants. X
ReplyDeleteyes amazing bravo him. x
ReplyDeleteHoly cow! It looks amazing! Love a man who does as he's told. A belated Happy New Year! xo
ReplyDeleteWowsers that's ace!!!! Well done Mr Moody! x
ReplyDeleteI love your "ugly house". I don't think it's ugly at all (even the before pic doesn't phase me). These old-school beach houses are very special i.m.o. They are a dying breed and I think it's lovely that you have given yours some tlc which will ensure it will be around for years to come.
ReplyDelete(we are looking at buying a beach house just like yours - I'm going to show my husband your before and after to keep him motivated)
Thanks Kylie - we really love it and it's nice to feel we've given it a new lease of life! x
ReplyDeleteElli, that's amazing! What a huge difference, but so simple in some ways - although having laid turf before I know it's a not an easy task - it's very heavy to move and more so as you get to the bottom of the pile! Good luck with planting things out - I can tell you what a difference 12 months makes! We had nothing but sand and dirt then and things are looking pretty good now (apart from the sunburnt plants from last week's heatwave!).
