Muddy walk

We're selling our house at the moment so we had to go out this afternoon to make way for some house viewings... no offers yet but fingers crossed...

Ilfracombe

I love out of season British seaside towns - Ilfracombe is a little bit run down, and its arts centre does look like a power station - but on a wintry evening with big waves crashing over the sea wall it looks pretty good!

New stuff

Some Valentines designs I've been working on this week.
I don't think there's anything more satisfying to draw then a smiley bear!

On our bookshelves

Our bookshelves are a strange blend of fiction, art and design books and Mark's engineering (yawn) textbooks.

What's on your bookshelves?

Weston-Super-Mare

I made this collage of Weston for my sister for Christmas - I think she liked it!
I'm in a very productive mood at the moment - it's that New Year surge of energy - don't know how long it'll last so I'm cracking on with lots of speculative work for my portfolio - I'll share some with you later in the week.
I've also had a bit of a cleaning frenzy today which is very unusual! (and very satisfying :-)

Thankyou cards

This is a simple idea for thankyou or any occasion cards - cut and glue a flowerpot shaped piece of paper on to a blank card (this is what Boden catalogues were created for) and ask your child to draw flowers growing out of the pots.

Job done.

2012 - it's going to be a good one!

Happy New Year people!

We got home today after a week by the sea.....

We had Christmas day at my sister's lovely house then we went to stay in our cosy caravan in North Devon...

There were crabs...

Shell collecting...

Murky beaches...

Surfboard injuries..

Lots of chips...

And a very tired dog!

2012 - bring it on!
