Cuppa?

Cecily is a girl after my own heart - tea is always the best way to defer any decision making - right now the decision should be 'turn off the computer and go to bed' but instead I've just put the kettle on...again.

Some fab stuff...

..I've found today

Dear Photograph (via the Etsy blog) such a simple yet brilliant idea - take a photo of a photo from the past in the present - it's sort of like seeing ghosts...

You can contribute your own photos here

The Tate Movie Project, also known as The Itch of the Golden Nit

A new animation from Aardman created completely by children - the website's great and there's a little film about it here. It's going to be shown around the country in the summer

Life in a Day - this film looks amazing - it only seems to be on release at Vue cinemas - have a look for one near you here!

PS The website's here

Happy Father's Day

We bought Mark this print from Bear Graphics - it pretty much sums up his philosophy in life :)
However, today he can't surf - he's fixing the boiler - there's no job he can't do!
(Or won't attempt..)

Sculptures and showers..

We had a Father's Day outing to the Forest of Dean Sculpture Trail - it was pretty wet but nice to wander through the trees spotting the sculptures and keeping an eye out for wild boar..

Envelope village

I doodle a lot at work.
And I also collect the envelopes with the nicest patterns inside.
And I drink lots of tea.

And do a bit of work...

Raining butterflies...

Ugh - it's raining and I've been persuaded to walk around the village after two small boys on bikes... So here's a butterfly to remind us that it's summer!

PS Yes, I know we need the rain!

More amazing willow!

Hannah's comment on my last post reminded me of this - how amazing are these playhouses by Judith Needham?? Where can I get some willow?

Amazing willow

These intricate willow sculptures by Laura Ellen Bacon are amazing - she's the artist in residence at Compton Verney gallery in Warwickshire this summer - you can drop in and lend a hand!
