Give us a tune?

A couple of months ago we met our next door neighbours carrying a piano up the road.

Later that evening we arrived home to find it in their front garden with a sign saying 'Any Offers?' - it didn't fit through their door...

Now it lives at the bottom of their garden quietly soaking up the rain.

Weekend collage #1

Another weekend in North Devon..
We found a really cool new surf shop in Braunton, and then saw some of their boards in Wave Length magazine. Loose-Fit claims to be the UK's first 'carbon zero' surf shop. I love the design of their website and their boards look like pieces of art.
Ooh, and they've also got a cafe!

Molly vegging out...

Molly looks quite unimpressed with today's haul from the veggie patch.. I'm entering 'longest bean' in the Village Show, but after accidentally eating the most promising contender, I don't fancy my chances. The village is full of experienced bean growers...

Sunshine and Butterflies

The sun's actually shining, and the buddleia is covered with butterflies and bumblebees.
A moment of summer.

Lazy Daze

I've just posted a custom built boat to the lovely Jo of Lazy Daze Crafts - we met at a craft show in Chipping Norton a couple of weeks ago, and I'd just sold the boat she had her eye on.

All my boats are unique and each have their own personality. 'Paloma' (with the white bunting) is for sale in my Folksy shop, and was also featured on the UK Handmade blog this week.

Precipitation in sight

Our weekend in Devon started like this..

...but happily improved.
Lots of running around on the beach, finding baby starfish in rockpools, sleeping in the van and brewing tea.

We found a great little eco-campsite near Bantham in South Devon, compost loos and one cold outdoor shower...
