The Bells!
Did you hear the bells this morning?
Martin Creed's idea for celebrating the start of the Olympics - Work No. 1197: All the bells in a country rung as quickly and as loudly as possible for three minutes.
Our village church bells woke me up this morning - there goes another summer holiday lie-in!

Blue Skies (at last)
An English blue sky is a rare and beautiful thing.
And all the more beautiful for being so rare.
We went to watch the Red Arrows in Weston Super Mare - they were fab!

Colour
I had an urge to do some painting this week -this is 'The Town by the River' (name supplied by Bill..)
And I just hauled Molly dog up the hill - she's got a limp at the moment but I think she's putting it on...

Appointment in London
Yesterday Mark and I had an appointment here-----
Yes - that's Australia House - maybe the flag gave it away? We still walked straight past it the first time.
We live in a little village surrounded by hills and other little villages. And a few small towns.
So we get really excited when we go anywhere that has buildings over three storeys high. And escalators.
And London is so exciting at the moment! Look at some of the exciting things we saw -
108 people dressed as giant pandas!
Pianos in the street!
A giant baobab tree made from fabric!
And loads of cool stuff on the South Bank
And the most exciting thing?
The sun shone all day :)

A walk in the hills
Mark and I are on a bit of a health kick at the moment, and he had the day off so we dragged took Molly dog on a long walk in the rain.
She hasn't moved since we got home...
